Serving

Why should we serve in the church?
Simply put, because Jesus asked us to! Jesus himself said: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” – (Mark 10:45). So, if serving others was one of the primary purposes of Jesus’ ministry here, then serving is a fundamental desire for us as believers to imitate Him.

How do I get started?
If you haven’t already done so, check out the “All-In Discipleship” Habit of Serving here. Serving is a great way for us to grow and mature in our faith as believers.

There are many areas at St. Lucas in which you can serve. Whether you are looking for a place to serve at Sunday morning services, community outreach, leading or participating in a small group Bible study, helping at one of our many events, serving in church leadership, and many more. There is a place where you can get connected to make a difference by offering your time and talents! Submitting a Time and Talent Survey here is a great way to help you get involved. After submitting the survey, someone from the Serving Team will respond and assist you in getting plugged in to a ministry that is right for you!
